To start a charging session, you can authenticate yourself at the charging station in the following ways:

- Kia Charge app: Use the Kia Charge to start the charging session. Learn more here on how to charge with QR code.
- In some models' cases via Plug & Charge
Ending a charging session
- Unplugging the cable: Select the “Stop” button on the charger, or for some car models, use the "Unplug" option via the car key or car display.
- Using charging card: If you started the session with an charging card, swipe it again to stop the session.
- Using remote start (app): If you started the session using the app or Plug & Charge, you can also stop the session directly from the app.
Important remarks:
- Disconnecting the cable automatically ends the charging session, making the charge point available again.
- Please ensure to end the session correctly to prevent any potential misuse where another customer might consume energy, which would be billed to you.
Example scenario:
Let's say a charging station has 2 charging points. If you swipe your charging card to start a session but do not plug in the cable, another vehicle could potentially plug in and start charging from the same station. In this case, the invoice would be sent to you even though your vehicle did not receive any energy. Always ensure to plug in immediately after starting the session or unplug correctly to avoid such issues.
