See the below step-by-step guide for charging your EV:
- Arrive at a charging station
- Locate a compatible charging station within the Kia Charge network using the app or map services.
- Follow on-screen instructions
- Charging stations may guide you through one of these processes:
- Authentication first: Use your charging card or app to authenticate.
- Cable first: Insert the cable into your vehicle's charging port as instructed.
- Plug & Charge: Plug in the cable, and charging will start automatically without additional authentication.
- Begin charging
- After successful authentication, the charging session will start automatically.
- Stopping the charging session
- Depending on how you started the session, you can end it in different ways:
- Unplugging the cable: Select the “Stop” button on the charger, or for some car models, use the “Unplug” option via the car key or car display.
- Using charging card: If you started the session with a charging card, swipe it again to stop the session.
- Using Remote Start (app): If you started the session using the app or Plug & Charge, you can also stop the session directly from the app.
- Departure
- Safely remove the cable from your vehicle and if the cable belongs to the station, ensure it is securely returned to the charging station before leaving.
